Autumn Show - 8th September 2024

The sun shone again for the event of the allotment year.
Thanks to Ruth’s meticulous planning and the support of too many volunteers to mention, a great time was had by all.
New categories such as ‘wonky’ or ‘exotic’ veg and cake featuring produce from your plot kept the Produce Show judges busy. Despite a difficult growing season, there were many excellent entries, making it a really tough job.

Prizes were duly awarded for the other competitions, with the ever-popular weighing in of the pumpkins providing great entertainment thanks to our NPL visitors and Ben.

This year, it was a 38 kilo giant that took the first prize.

The Show finale was the Grand Raffle with fantastic prizes thanks to support from local businesses and plotholders.
The teams that ran the cafe, the barbecue, the beer tent and the home produce stall all did a sterling job on the day and helped make it another fabulous Autumn Show.
