RPA 2025 AGM - 11th November

There was a great atmosphere on the night, thanks to everyone who came along to St Mary’s Parish Hall to take part.
In the formal part of the meeting, the Chairman’s report highlighted how much the allotments have to offer to our members for a bargain rent and what a great contribution all the volunteers make. The Treasurer’s report then confirmed the healthy finances of the RPA thanks to the monies raised from our volunteer-run cafe and regular events.
All the teams and individuals who volunteer their time to keep things going on the site were thanked and roundly applauded.

Then it was on to the Best Plot awards.
We were very fortunate to have Councillor Caroline Wren with us to steer us through the ceremony.
A highlight of the evening was the 10th Anniversary of the awarding of the Derek Mason Cup to the Best Newcomers. Tim Carter, who donated the cup in memory of Derek, was with us for the presentation.
Congratulations to Amy and Melissa for their Newcomer win!
